The break is over, beware 2010

We finally practiced as a band again on Tuesday after a good six months away. It was a lot of fun. We ran all the new songs and they all had a nice feel to them. Can’t wait to start recording.
The end of 2009 was a game of musical chairs for the preons. As one person returned home another person left. Both Janie and Brad went on the road for our respective employers. Janie drove around in an Airstream and showed of some rad new video games. Brad drove across the country and filmed some webisodes for Starbucks.

the Mix on 5/14

We’re returning to the Mix in Georgetown on May 14th. Last time we played we had a great time. The stage is really great, and the room has a really nice vibe. Looking forward to seeing you there.
UPDATE: We’re preselling tickets for $5 … let us know and we’ll get you one.

We have some new toys.
John has a Warr Guitar. I have some new pedals for the trumpet. Josh has a sexy new jacket … and Janie has some cool drum triggers.

We were really happy with the show at the High Dive last night. 1 fiddle player played with the other three bands, so we felt a little sad she didn’t play with us, but we got over it.

It’s a new year and we have a new website. yippee! We also have a twitter account. yippee!
In other news, The Preons are playing Thursday, January 15th at the High Dive with: David Hillman Band, Pete Bush and the Hoi Polloi, and Eva La Meatbeard. Should be a fine show all around.
We have a whole new set of tunes. Someday we’ll get around to recording them, hopefully this year.
